This collection has been sponsored by Harrisons of Edinburgh.

For this collection, regarding to my theme I was researching suit’s fabrics mainly. Harrisons of Edinburgh kindly agreed to be my sponsors and they provide me with amazing cloth from their different collections. I received many meters of herringbone, prince of wales check, solaro cloth,  numerous linings, all sumptuous fabrics. So I would like to thank them again for this wonderful opportunity. It has been a marvellous chance to be able to work with such high quality fabrics.

Selection of fabrics sent by Harrisons of Edinburgh, sponsors.

The ‘Fin de siècle’ was recognized for industrialization and a feeling of modernization. Women desired more rights, mobility and started to adopt elements of male style.

Despite this, there was still a distinct separation between menswear and womenswear, reinforced by Victorian ideals. Also, etiquette was considered an indispensable part of dress and gentlemanly beliefs championed elegance as a philosophy for living.

This collection combines the codes and attributes of these English Ladies and Gentlemen, obsessively concerned with their changing place in society.
